The Need For Speed
Oh joyous day! Being the last day of November, Telstra has given me an early Christmas present by uncapping my speed limit! I find myself now downloading everything again, from "The Seinfeld Reunion Special" to multiple Champions League Soccer matches haha "Glory glory Man United!"
Other than waking up a mere 20 mins ago (terrible, but so satisfying hehe) I moved the Gym visit today at 11am to tomorrow b/c I wasn't really up for it. Sorry again Steve! I got home early last night too, about 1am but I ended up going online to do the stuff that I normally do when I have the chance to use the computer, namely check soccer results, read some news, check the weather etc. Lately I've been too busy to use the computer and also because my brother and mum have been hogging it through the day!
Last entry I left off on a Friday evening, I ended up going bowling at Chaddy, and later went to Tam's place to give her her present. I got home about 3:30am, and watched three episodes of the Seinfeld marathon Ch10 had going on that night/morning. They started at 8:30pm on Friday and finished at 6am on Saturday morning, now that's what I call entertainment! Haha...if it weren't for bowling, I would have seen more than the 8 of 19 episodes aired that night, but I still think it's a fair effort.
Having slept at about 5ish that morning, I woke up quite late and did more of nothing through the day. It was only until later at night that I received a phone call about watching a movie with Cliff, Chris and Garry. Chris was unavailable though because he was going to Next Blue so it was down to three. We ended up going to Century City to watch "Bad Santa" at 11:50pm which was okay. Cliff didn't seem too impressed at all, but Garry liked it, so I guess we evened out.
My Sunday began slowly, having a lot of interrupted sleep and finally getting out of bed at about 12pm to get ready for Yum Cha at Taipan with Anna's family. At Taipan I bumped into Chris and his family which was pretty funny and his Saturday night sounded better than ours...hehe oh well. Soccer was on at 9:20pm but in the end, we lost 3-10. Feeling disappointed we decided to go to Donny Pannies where Henry and Quoc wanted to claim their two drinks each they won from Dave and I while pokering it at Baillieu Library during swot vac hehe. We ended up playing more poker at Pannies and ended the night around 2:30am.
Yesterday was another slow day, especially with Anna starting vacation work at Ernst & Young, which meant I would have to rely on other people to drive me around hehe. I played more WRC II and got frustrated at the Monaco tracks because there were soooo many 180 degree turns! I'm coming 8th out of 20 overall and a clear 2 mins behind the leader after 2 days of racing dammit. I got a ring from Garry late in the afternoon that there was to be a beach bbq at Chelsea Beach in the evening.
The beach was a tepid affair, particularly because only five of us (Cat, Dave, Garry, Quoc and I) attended after others had piked and also that Garry didn't like the look of the bbq's, which meant it wasn't really a beach bbq...just, well...the beach. We ended up mucking around in the sand and water for a while then headed back to Tam's where we cooked the food. After watching Wesley Snipes in "The Art of War" Dave, Quoc, Garry, Derek and I tried to come up with something to do. Garry suggested knick-knocking, I suggested ghost-hunting (jokingly of course, much to the annoyance of Quoc who remembers all too well what happened last time hehe hey it so wasn't my fault!) but ended up going with Derek's suggestion of having cold drinks at Glenny.
EG was closed by the time we got there (approx. 11:50pm) so we ended up bumming in the carpark next to the station, kicking Dave's soccer ball around. That was a real low point I think, we were complete derros hanging around in the middle of the night at some station carpark. It was still fun though, kicking the ball around, but even the "5-0" drove up to us and suggested we make our way home. That's when we decided to call it a night and head home.
I think I've managed to go out every night for eight nights in a row! (It'll be nine by the end of tonight, I'm having all you can eat meat with Drew & Co.) This is good because I'm keeping myself occupied during the holidays, there is nothing worse than wasting your time and being bored over the holidays because when you've got uni or school, you'll feel like crap when you remember instances where you took the holidays for granted.
Oh yeah, I've also stumbled across two good songs that I didn't put in my "to listen" post a while back. They are:
Keane - Somewhere Only We Know
Chemical Brothers - Star Guitar
I remembered about "Star Guitar" only recently when I started playing WRC II again. It's such a good song, but if you can, download the video clip because that is by far my favourite video clip of all time! It is just so clever!
Mmm, anyway it's 2:30pm and I still haven't had lunch yet, be sure to "watch this space" because I'll be online a lot again given my high download speeds muahahahaha. Laterrrsss!
