i have this friend (let's call them X) who's trying to be perceived as more mature. the problem is that X seems to end up hanging out with younger ppl than their age because ppl X's age end up going home early.
so, X tried to initiate this thing where friends around X's age would hang out more instead of retreat home. didn't come into fruition, but then one day X found out those older people organised something and didn't invite X. now X wants to know what they should do.
i just said, "that sucks for X."

x's same aged friends might be thinking that x doesn't want to hang out with them anymore.
hence, x could perhaps organise another activity and invite x's same aged friends to show they are still keen to hang out.
if still no luck, then x should investigate why they are excluding him.
if unresolvable, then x should move on and let things work themselves out

X should organise an event and invite them, ditch them and leave them hanging, and then bash them up. Then everyone is happy.
